UK rail operators have officially introduced a new passenger tier, ‘scum’ class. The service, aimed at customers accustomed to delays, overcrowding, and limited amenities, is described as “fully aligned with expectations.”
Seats are reportedly narrower than standard second-class seating. Standing is permitted throughout the journey. No additional facilities are provided. Passengers are advised to accept the experience without complaint.
Operators stated that Scum Class reflects the true standard of UK rail travel. “We wanted a tier that honestly represents the service we deliver,” said a spokesperson. “It’s practical, efficient, and realistic.”
Tickets are available immediately. Operators note that any hope for comfort, space, or punctuality should be considered a bonus rather than an expectation.
